Culture Night Belfast 2011

I received this e-mail today after taking part in The night's festivities last week. Makes it all worthwhile..

No sooner had these three Golfing Giants been drawn by me and then signed copies of the caricature - they started winning BIG TOURNAMENTS!!

First Graeme, then Rory, and now today Darren lifts the trophy!!

If I was s sports star, I know who I'd be looking for right now!!!

Weding - Galgorm on 9 April 2011

Congratulations to Leanne & Andy and many thanks for having me draw their guests at their wedding in the Galgorm at the weekend. I had a great evening. I also drew a caricature for the guests to sign. Here's a look.

Belfast City Hall

If you haven't already, you should take a trip down & have a look at the City Hall now it's re-opened. It is such a splendid building.

New Stuff

Here are a few new pics I have done recently. The photo is from a wedding I drew at in Cavan last month.

The commissions I did for auction to raise money for Action Medical Research. The three gentlemen - Richard Dunwoody, Jack Kyle & Tyrone Howe - were in attendance on the evening and signed copies. A thoroughly enjoyable evening too.

Vienna December 2009

Just returned from a few days in Vienna. Batteries recharged and ready for the Christmas season (the christmas markets will do that for you!)

Myself, Mrs Nuff & the Nuffling managed a few galleries whilst there so here's a selection of some of the sights.

In particular I was even more impressed with the paintings of Egon Schiele than I thought I would be (and believe me, expectation was high to begin with!).

I realise now that no reproductions I have seen have done the originals justice at all. I just didn't expect the exceptional sense of colour and his precise pallette choices. I love it when art catches you out like that.

Here is a snap I managed to take of the happy couple at their wedding in the splendid Narrow Water Castle in Co Down at the end of September.

The venue was incredible. This was the last wedding to be held here & the local press came along too to mark the event.

Still the commissions keep rolling in. Gives me something to do in these dark winter days ahead.

This was commissioned as a birthday gift. As you can see he is a fireman and a power boat ... em .. boat person!! It was done in September so I guess I'm not ruining any surprises posting it now.

Live work from Earlier this year

Some sketches I did for some of the good people of Downpatrick earlier in the year. I was at the Down County Museum.

More Wedding Caricature Commissions

I have been busy here all summer with commissioned work for weddings.

These ones here were produced for display at weddings They are printed and mounted on foam board so the guests can sign them and write their messages.
